Rose Byrne came to the BFI London Film Festival premiere of If I Had Legs I’d Kick You in a dress made out of paper towels. It is the second such dress of the week. One more of these, and we get to call it a trend.
But really, it would be more accurate to say she came wrapped in a bedsheet. Strangely, we find ourselves almost believing in this one, even though we think most minimalism is a mistake for red carpets and think bedsheet goddess gowns are tired cliches. But the style really suits her and the intentional wrinkling mostly works. The bow’s a little on the sad side, but that tends to go with the vibe of the outfit. We guess there’s a certain sort of depressed vibe to it but it’s still kind of pretty in its plainness. Given that she’s not much of a smiler in pictures, there’s something about that plain, pretty sadness that really suits her. A delicate necklace would have been nice.
