Oh, no, Kirsten. Not you too. To be honest, we only glanced at this dress before we chose to give it the spotlight. Before the caffeine hit and the sun came up, we thought it had a fairy tale etherealness to it that seemed fresh for her and we were considering putting it up to a vote, since this sort of neutral-colored gown is not something we usually champion. Then we opened them up.
She got Rodarte’d once again. To our surprise, we thought that the beige lace might be workable for her when we didn’t see the rest of it, but we also thought this would be lined. So much beige lace twisted around a pale white woman’s body just looks like she’s shedding her skin. The flower idea was cute, but these look like something from a middle school arts and crafts project. As bad as this dress is for her, we do think it makes the case for more Elle Fanning-like floaty fairy tale styles. Just not this version. Her hair and makeup are pretty and we love the bracelet.
