Congratulations to Ayo Edebiri for being named Chanel’s newest brand ambassador. It’s been a pleasure watching her style evolve and get more polished as her fame grew and she’s in exactly the right place in her career to take on a role like this. Unfortunately, she succumbed to the same fate all celebrity Chanel ambassadors must.

The house immediately did her wrong. Oddly for such a limp little frock, there are too many ideas packed into it. The top third doesn’t have much to do with the middle third which doesn’t have anything to do with the skirt. The only part we like is the bird print. It’s just an awkward design. She looks gorgeous, however. Love the hair and makeup. The sandals seem like not enough shoe.
