Just as we were thrilled for Tramell Tillman’s Emmy win, we were near-ecstatic for Somebody Somewhere star Jeff Hiller’s, for Supporting Actor in a Comedy Series, if only because the Academy doesn’t always go for the nerdy sissies. But even if we want to be supportive of everything a good nerdy sissy does, we’re afraid wearing a pink tweed suit to the Emmys is not one of them. Not this pink tweed suit, anyway.

The idea of a man’s suit rendered in the style of a classic Chanel women’s suit is a witty and potentially stylish one. We love the idea of the pearl embellishments especially. But something about the weight of the fabric doesn’t work all that well with the cuts needed to fit a man’s suit. The proportions are off and the whole thing looks too slouchy to our eyes. It could have been beautiful, but it probably needs interfacing and a better fit to work. Love the jewelry.
