Alright, we’re on day three-and-a-half of 2025 Emmys coverage, (four, if you count our Cosmopolitan writeup) so it’s long past time we rounded up the scragglers and gave them all our quick and bitchy opinions about their outfits. Let’s do it together, like a family. Of bitches.
Aimee Lou Wood in Alexander McQueen

Meh. That shade of pink is insipid and does nothing for her. The style is stale and we really hate the cup design.
Angela Bassett in Yara Shoemaker

As if we’d even try to argue with that.
Carrie Coon in Chanel

She clearly loves it, but we hate this dress. The skirt is lovely, but the bodice is wildly overworked and the color makes her look sallow. The DTM shoes are bad.
Charlotte Le Bon in Courrèges

LOVED this but HATED the boots.
Elizabeth Banks in Rabanne

We can see what the design is trying to do — there’s a bit of a “curtain opening” effect to the skirt design — but the silver part is sloppy and overwhelming.
Gayle King

It’s a stunning take on a formal caftan.
Gwendoline Christie in Tom Ford

Love it, but we’re disappointed by the puddling pants hem.
Halsey in Givenchy

It’s okay, but that’s a terrible color.
Hannah Einbinder in Louis Vuitton

It’s slinky and glam, but we felt like the pattern was way too busy for television and we didn’t like the bustline or single spaghetti strap.
Hunter Schafer in Alexander McQueen

Sharp and gorgeous, although we don’t love the shape of the velvet panel.
Isa Briones in Erik Charlotte

Credit to her for picking such a difficult color and almost making it work, but the design is just plain ugly. The skirt’s trying to do way too much.
Jackie Tohn in Marmar Halim

She looks gorgeous. It’s a subtle, sophisticated shade, but she could’ve used one colorful piece of statement jewelry.
Janelle James in Cucculelli Shaheen

The fit and color look fantastic on her. If there’s such a thing as a dress being over-textured, this one would qualify. There’s a bit too much going on there.
Jean Smart in Christian Siriano

We’ll never love that style of sleeve puff, especially at the cuff end, but this is a unique and unusual design in a gorgeous color. She looks beautiful in it, but we’d have liked to edit either the collar or the puffs out. They’re fighting each other.
Jenny Slate in Rosie Assoulin

We almost liked this. She’s really well suited to classic designs with a slightly severe quality to them, but this dress needs some edits. It would have been great without the white part entirely.
Kaitlyn Dever in Michael Kors Collection

Meh. We’re not scandalized by a bandeau top at the Emmys, but it does look a bit out of place.
Kathy Bates in Vera Wang

A flawless grande dame gown in a color that looks amazing on her.
Kristen Bell in Armani Privé

Gorgeous skirt. Hate the bodice.
Lisa Ann Walter in Christian Siriano

This looks amazing on her. She likes her outfits to have a little razzle dazzle to them and Christian gave her that while keeping her in a prestige actress sort of mode.
Liza Colón-Zayas in Christian Siriano

Just okay. The corset top is a cliche and it looks like a modesty scarf was shoved into it at the last second.
Malin Akerman in Greta Constantine

The 2007 version of our blogger selves would have made all sorts of inappropriate comments here but we’re all mature and shit now. Hate this, by the way.
Mariska Hargitay in Elie Saab

Can’t argue with that.
Michelle Monaghan in Rabanne

It’s gorgeous, but we don’t think silver is the best choice for her – gold would be better, bronze would be perfect – and we hate the too-simple bodice and straps.
Molly Gordon in Giorgio Armani

Beautiful and eye-catching.
Sarah Paulson in Marc Jacobs

Turkey lady.
Scarlett Johansson in Prada

The washed-out color works well with her tan and it’s nice to see her hair down for a change. It’s an okay look. The earrings are gorgeous.
Selena Gomez in Louis Vuitton

All grown up and sophisticated.
Sheryl Lee Ralph in Diane Von Furstenberg

The color’s lovely. It looks a little flimsy.
