STAUNCH! We weren’t even thinking about Grey Gardens‘ 50th anniversary earlier in the week when we got a message from Salon writer Andi Zeisler asking to interview us about her fantastic piece on the film, which you can and should read here. We sat down to watch the film again for the first time in at least five years and it turns out we had way more thoughts on it than a few soundbites in an excellent essay can cover, so we figured we’d weigh in further on such topics as whether the film is exploitive and why gay men revere Little Edie Beale so much.
PLUS: Tom’s thoughts on Star Trek: Strange New Worlds, Lorenzo’s thoughts on AKA Charlie Sheen, and both of our thoughts on why this year’s Video Music Awards red carpet was so conservative in tone and why that scares us a little.
Thank you for listening, darlings!
