Andrew Garfield, Ayo Edebiri and Julia Roberts came to the New York Film Festival premiere of After The Hunt working some surprisingly strong looks.
Andrew Garfield in Valentino

To be fair, Andrew almost always shows up in a strong look and this fits in nicely with his current style approach, which is a bit louche and tieless with a literal flare to it. It’s a gorgeous tux and we love the unexpected deployment of polka dots. He’s one of the few men who can make us believe that going tieless in a tux is a thing that works.
Julia Roberts in Vivienne Westwood

On the flipside, we have Julia, who’s sporting a whole lot of tie — or a tie with a whole lot of stuff on it, at least. We admit that covering a necktie in vintage brooches is a pretty slick styling trick. We think it might have worked better with a less busy suit or if she’d opted to open the jacket for pictures. It’s a really strong, eye-catching look, however. Julia likes to go for sweeping drama without a lot of fuss, so we’re a bit surprised to see her in something that provides a little of both. We love the color story here, but we’ll be honest: the proportions on the pants are a little insane.
Ayo Edebiri in Chanel

The strap situation is entirely too complicated for its own good, but it provides the only visual interest in the design. We like that she’s stepped up her game, however. This practically reeks of “prestige actress.” Not loving the hair, but the watch is gorgeous.
