Jodie Turner-Smith and Greta Lee clearly figured they’d be doing the Tron: Ares promo tour next to the most pretentious attention-seeker in entertainment, so they adjusted their style choices accordingly for the Paris photo call.
Granted, it’s not like Jodie needs an excuse to wear something insane.
Jodie Turner-Smith in Schiaparelli Couture
Look, that’s impressive as hell as a design and she can certainly handle all of that techie foofaraw and sparkle like she was wearing chiffon, but we’re afraid that this is a level of theme-dressing we cannot support. If someone suggested the idea of promoting a Tron movie while covered in circuit boards and old tech, we’d slap them. In truth, we were almost ready to forgive this one until we spotted the calculator and ipod. That’s just goofy.
Jared Leto
Ah. He’s back in his Messiah mode, we see. Well, have at it, mister. We’ll be doing our best to ignore you.
Greta Lee in Luar
See, to us, this is how you promote your futuristic, techy sci-fi project. Not by literally festooning yourself with the film’s aesthetic, but by finding something sharp and modern that looks like it could have come from a fashion collection in 2045. She looks sharp as hell and this color really sings on her.
