Heidi Klum is out in the world wearing wacky things as she promotes the 21st season of Project Runway and we won’t deny that we burst out laughing at the sight of her and silently thanked our good common sense for getting out of the PR recapping game when we did.

This would be the source of our aforementioned laughter. When these shots popped up in our photo agency, we immediately agreed that she had to be modeling some creation from one of the designers on the show. Sure enough, WWD confirmed that this look was designed by season 21 contestant Belania Daley. No tea no shade against PR, and if you’re happy with the new season, more power to you, but we took one look at this…collection of ideas and were immediately grateful that we don’t have to look at a dozen of these things every week and try to assess them without being total bitches about it. This is a very bad design that immediately looks like the work of an amateur and it tends to sum up our entire reason from walking away from the show, which we outlined in a podcast several years back. Essentially, it comes down to the fact that the format does not produce good designs and the show has had no impact on the fashion world at all in nearly two decades of existence.

This is just hilariously awful. There’s no way in hell Nina Garcia is happy to be sharing a set with her again.
