Fossil brand took over the iconic Soho Diner for one night so that they could celebrate Nick Jonas’s new brand ambassador status. Halle Bailey and Ben Platt came as well, presumably because they had no other plans for the day. Let’s assess their casual style choices, shall we?
NICK JONAS

The reason we call him Nicky Tryhard is because everything he does in public seems so calculated and insincere to us, including his style choices. If you’re going to commit to high-waisted pants and a little neckerchief, you’ve got to have at least a little bit of swagger or humor to pull it off. In other words, we get the impression he chooses certain looks not because he likes them or thinks they’ll look good on him, but because he thinks this is what he’s supposed to pick. To be fair, this is a brand dinner, which means he’s got to wear the brand, but despite his occasionally interesting choices, we never get the feeling that he enjoys wearing them. Anyway, this is fine, but awkward. The belt is too skinny.
HALLE BAILEY AND BEN PLATT

Her outfit’s really cute, but it’s pulling all over. Should’ve gone up a size. Should’ve worn a belt as well, because those empty loops look odd to us. He’s got great shoes. Everything else is simply terrible on him. The shirt isn’t awful on its own, but those pants ruin the entire look.
