Austin Butler stopped by The Tonight Show studios, which we presume to be hellaciously cold, going by the Pop-Pop sweater he wore for the occasion.
Everything about this look is very cute, but it also feels meticulously curated to produce a certain vibe. That’s not a criticism; that’s just good styling. He has a tendency to cycle through personae (he’s finally free of the Elvis affectations), which is not a bad thing for an actor, and he’s smart to use fashion as a signifier of where he is and what he’s doing. The Chucks are a nice touch. We hate fuzzy sweaters and we think he’s crazy for wearing one in August, but the whole look really comes together nicely on him.
