Together stars Allison Brie and Dave Franco continue to make the promo rounds in New York and continue to choose outfits that we would not have recommended for them when the weather’s hot enough to melt asphalt.

Granted these aren’t bad at all and we remain impressed by their ability to not melt while posing on a melting sidewalk. Still, a leather top with a halter collar seems kind of crazy right now, but not as crazy as wearing a skirt over pants in this heat. It helps that her look is chic and well-styled, but it sure doesn’t say “high summer’ to us. There’s nothing objectionable about his look. It’s boring, but all of the pieces are of high quality and they look well coordinated.

He sure is getting the most out of his black dress pants and white tee-shirt this week, isn’t he? He’s serving pure Rebel Without a Cause drag and we’re a little surprised to see it, since his brother famously played James Dean. Still, it suits him really well and as we noted the other day, he’s smart to lean into his suitability for mid-century guy style. Her suit is very cute but again, tweed in July seems nuts. What’s wrong with a simple sun dress?
