Twisted Metal stars Anthony Mackie and Stephanie Beatriz came to Comic Con in order to put on a demonstration regarding social and cultural standards about acceptable presentation based on gender. They probably came to talk about the upcoming second season of the show as well, but the message on cultural standards was so overwhelming that it’s all we can see.
We’re not entirely sure why they opted to provide a visual aid regarding gender expectations instead of just promoting their TV show, but maybe it’s some sort of community service thing. Bitchiness aside, she’s the one who’s got this wrong; not just because she’s overdressed for the occasion, but because it’s such a hideous dress. He looks perfectly on point. We suppose the unbutton is deliberate, as if he were wearing a cardigan or a jacket, where such a styling choice is expected, but it really doesn’t work with a shirt.
