Sarah Jessica Parker is both a gala gal and a literary gal, so it’s not surprising that she would show up for the Pen America Spring Literary Gala. It’s kind of her thing. Also kind of her thing is wearing discussable outfits, but for this event, she toned her galawear way down.
It’s not a bad dress, although it looks way too heavy for mid-May in New York. In fact, everything about this look reads “holiday party” to us rather than “Spring gala.” We can’t help thinking that it would look better with boots, although that could be due to our dislike of peeptoes. The seaming is interesting, but the shape of the skirt makes it look like she’s got a table under there.
