Met Gala 2025: Sabrina Carpenter in Louis Vuitton

One thing you can absolutely never say about Sabrina Carpenter is that she’s a girl who doesn’t know what works for her. On the contrary; there are few celebrities with a better understanding of their own persona and looks than her, and she works that image so consistently that her name has already become synonymous with a certain retro throwback style of cutesy-poo sexiness. To wit:

Sorry, everyone. We realize a lot of you are expecting a bunch of jokes about how she forgot her pants, but we think this is totally fabulous. She looks adorable in it. The color is gorgeous on her and the fit is impeccable. In terms of saluting fine tailoring and dandyism, she’s completely on theme while still being completely Sabrina Carpenter. Our only quibbles: A pair of sheer tights would have finished this off nicely. She could have even gone with a patterned pair, although that may have come off a little too Zatanna. The other quibble is that the hair is looking mighty wiggy.
