The 2025 Cannes Film Festival Jury kicked things off with a photo call today and we’re going to focus on the celebrities, but let’s face it: the whole story here is Jeremy Strong’s pink bucket hat.

His commitment to velour, bucket hats, and monochromatic outfits needs to be protected and nurtured. He so badly wants to be a ’90s rapper and we think that desire should be encouraged.

This is a terrible angle, but the jumpsuit is actually pretty chic. That pale yellow looks great on her and we love those giant lapels.

This jumpsuit has more of a utilitarian vibe, but that tends to suit her very well. The belt and the boots elevate it.

Leila Slimani’s whole look is chic and appropriate to the setting. Your eye goes past all of the celebrities in the pictures and lands straight on her every time. Nailed it, we’d say.

We’re presuming this to be Chanel, but even if it isn’t, it’s clear she went for a very French couture sort of vibe. That is, of course, perfectly fine for Cannes, but we tend to think this sort of outfit is more suitable for Paris than the Riviera.
