Halle Berry came to the Mission: Impossible — The Final Reckoning premiere at the Cannes Film Festival in a trend we found a little charming at first, but has quickly become wildly overdone.
The puffy skirt trend. At first, it seemed like a cute way to reinterpret a train, evoking the ubiquity of puffy vest and jackets and re-casting them in a more formal light. But that’s the problem with the world of fashion and red carpets; someone has an idea and the next thing you know, everyone’s wearing the same thing. We’re not mad at this. It’s kind of cute and fun. We even like the big puffy butt bow. But we’re already tired of seeing sleeping bags on the red carpet. Let’s kill this one quickly.
