KEEP IT GUCCI: THE ART OF SILK
Captured through the lens of photographer Steven Meisel, Julia Garner embodies the fluid elegance of silk — a language of expression woven into the night.
The House’s latest campaign stars Julia Garner in a visual narrative that explores mystery, movement, and allure, while celebrating the House’s heritage in silk. Here, the protagonist exists between concealment and revelation, evoking a sense of fleeting glamour, reminiscent of whispered conversations and stolen moments beneath passing streetlights. Set against the city’s nocturnal glow, the imagery unfolds like a cinematic sequence—where light and shadow, presence and enigma, play in perfect harmony. Windswept across the frame, the scarf moves as an extension of the wearer, flowing with an effortless rhythm.
Designed in 1966 by Italian illustrator Vittorio Accornero de Testa, the Flora motif with its intricate bouquet of seasonal blooms remains a timeless symbol of elegance. Whether draped around the neck, tied as a headscarf, or caught mid-motion, Gucci’s silk scarves continue to express the enduring spirit of House codes, reinterpreted for today.
