Okay, so we have a serious question for you, regarding Bridgerton star Nicola Coughlan’s look at her Canneseries Festival handprint ceremony.

Can you just throw a cardigan on over a sequined gown and call it good? Is that a thing? At first, we thought the color story worked well for her and we were a bit taken by the contrast between the soft pink and the shiny green. But the longer we look at it, the stranger it feels to us. A cardigan is a casual garment by definition and a sequined gown is a formal one. Granted, there’s such a thing as high-low styling, but in a case like this, she’d probably be better off pairing this gown with a moto or a denim jacket, if that’s the route she wants to take. We suspect the only reason she’s sporting the cardigan is because it allows her to display her ever-present Artists4Ceasefire pin, but it honestly looks a little odd the way she’s done it. Great dress, though.
