It’s MONDAY and we all deserve to spend it living la vie en rose, don’t you think? Plant your ass on velvet and surround yourself with pink. There’s no need to be productive today.

Will Poulter Has Three Movies Out This Month. Kit Connor Wants to Know How He Does It.
Most actors would be satisfied to release four projects a year. But imagine four projects in one month, and you’ll get an idea of the kind of hot streak that Will Poulter’s currently on. It started with Death of a Unicorn, the surrealist directorial debut from Alex Scharfman, then came the seventh season of Black Mirror, where Poulter reprised his role as a druggy video game developer. Now, the 32-year-old actor is capping off his busy spring with Warfare, Alex Garland’s Navy Seal docudrama, and On Swift Horses, in which he stars alongside Jacob Elordi. “That misrepresents how busy I’ve been,” Poulter quipped to his Warfare co-star Kit Connor. “There’s been plenty of unemployment over the last two years.” After a global press tour, the pair reunited to talk about their matching tattoos and the child actor work ethic.

62 unforgettable ’90s movies for the perfect cosy night in
For a hearty dose of nostalgia.

’90s movies undoubtedly give us so much nostalgia. I mean, we have watched the likes of Home Alone, Jurassic Park, The Silence of the Lambs and Matilda time and time again and have never tired of them.
Also, we will never – and we mean never – not find 10 Things I Hate About You one of the funniest rom-coms, we’ll never not cry at tear-jerker Titanic – even though we know Jack’s definitely not coming back – and who wouldn’t want Hugh Grant in Four Weddings and a Funeral on a big screen? Then there are the film titles that have become phrases in our daily vocabularies without us realising, from Sliding Doors to Groundhog Day – talk about iconic.
We also can’t help but point out the faces that made the nineties impossibly iconic, such as the Olsen twins in flicks such as It Takes Two.

57 short hairstyles that make us want to cut our hair ASAP
From buzz cuts to jaw-skimming bobs.

Ever get the urge to chop all your hair off? You’re in good company, since short hairstyles are massively trending. According to Google search data, “short hairstyles” is one of the most Googled beauty trends around the world – and the UK searches for this term most.
It seems as though more of us than ever are seriously contemplating our boldest look yet. It’s easy to see why. There’s something oh-so satisfying about shearing away excess layers and swapping long, heavy hair for something that feels more free and lightweight – whether you’re looking for a style that’s soft and short like a choppy pixie crop, or just fancy lifting your bob a few inches higher. Either way, lopping the lot away can feel utterly liberating. Even better, it can release you from long-winded blow-drying and styling, too.

23 amazing 2025 movies you need to know about, from Freakier Friday to Wicked: For Good

As this year really hits its stride, we continue to feel super excited about the seriously impressive slate of 2025 movies.

The Assessment: The trailer for Alicia Vikander and Elizabeth Olsen’s dystopian thriller looks so good
It is set in a post-apocalyptic world where an assessor must determine your ability to be a parent.

Elizabeth Olsen and Alicia Vikander are set to star in new thriller The Assessment, which is set in a dystopian future where an “assessor” determines your ability to be a parent.
It’s quite a concept, with the sci-fi story set in a world where Earth has been hit by climate crisis, leading its characters to be based in a partitioned, isolated area away from the parts of the planet that were hit by a disaster that almost wiped out humanity. This has led the government to control reproduction.

47 fringe hairstyles if you’re considering bangs
Wispy, Frenchie, chunky or sideswept?

Few hairstyles are as timeless, versatile and relevant as a fringe. In every decade fringes have found a way to make face-framing look beautiful, from the ‘50s Audrey fringe to ’70s curtain bangs, voluminous ‘80s fringes, wispy ’90s fringes or side-swept ’00s side-bangs.
The good news is they’re as popular (if not more) than ever right now. “There’s a huge fringe revival happening,” confirms celebrity hairstylist and ColorWow international creative director, Dom Seeley. Even better, the question isn’t whether to get get a fringe, but which fringe to choose. “There are so many variations, from wispy to the blunt, or curtain-style like Sabrina Carpenter,” notes Dom.

Kandi Burruss Is Betting Big on Broadway
With the runaway success of ‘Othello,’ the former Bravo star has proven her brand extends far beyond Bravo. And her legacy may just be transforming the stage.

In 2021, Kandi Burruss overheard a comment that she says crystallized her mission as a theater producer. She was listening in on a post-show talkback for the first play she had produced for Broadway, Thoughts of Colored Man, when an older white woman asked a question. “At the time, there were a couple other shows that were starring African-American talent on stage,” Burruss recalls to me on a mid-March afternoon in Manhattan, twirling her fork around a strand of Maine lobster spaghetti. “And [the woman] said, ‘Well, I think it’s great that we have these shows that are starring African-American talent. But don’t you think you guys shouldn’t put so many up at once so it doesn’t pull the ticket sales away from each other?’” At the time, Burruss was speechless. With a look of performative confusion, she lets out a sigh. “It was as if we could only do one at a time, like only one could make it.”

From the Archives: An Honest Interview with Truman Capote
Truman Capote knows how to make an entrance. He has always known. In 1948, when he published his first book—a slim siren of a novel called Other Voices, Other Rooms—he quite simply created a sensation. It was not just the lush beauty of his prose, his precocious mastery. It was also that the book’s jacket displayed a photograph of the unknown young author: a delicately pale young man reclining on a chaise lounge, his eyes leveled provocatively at the camera. They were the eyes of a lover, or a murderer. A tough faun, as a friend has said. Truman Capote at twenty-three was the New Orleans country boy who came to the big city and, with cool country know-how, seduced it. That was an artful seduction: as though Truman, a boy fishing at an enormous pond, spotted a great, elusive fish and knew just how to get it: camouflaged his hook with gleaming bait (himself) and waited with the patience of saints. When he caught that fish, fame, he caught it suddenly, and for keeps. His talent, was, of course, the hook. Without that, he could never have joined the front ranks of contemporary Southern writers—Porter, Welty, McCullers— and stayed there, as one of America’s foremost literary talents, for over thirty years.

How Jinkx Monsoon Made Her Way to Broadway in Pirates! The Penzance Musical
“Sometimes, as a marginalized performer entering a space that’s got such a legacy, it’s easy to feel like an outsider or have imposter syndrome and convince yourself, I’m a drag queen, I’m a comedian, what am I doing in this Broadway show? That kind of stuff creeps into your head,” she says. “The antidote is working with people who assure you that they trust you. Ruth is a lot of my choices and instincts, but she was shaped by the author, the music director, the choreographer, the director, and I couldn’t ask for better co-stars.”

Bad Bunny Loves This Puerto Rican Moonshine, and You Should Too
Pitorro de coco is just the beginning of all the flavors you can infuse into this Puerto Rican rum.

Since Bad Bunny’s sixth studio album Debì Tirar Más Fotos (I Should Have Taken More Photos) was released this January, it has been lauded as both a celebration of Puerto Rico and a statement of resistance against forces that threaten the island’s independence, such as gentrification and colonialism.
There are personal and political messages to be gleaned throughout the album’s vibrant songs, but one delicious point of Puerto Rican pride that Bad Bunny illuminates in his song “Pitorro de Coco” is an alcoholic drink often referred to as the island’s unofficial national spirit: pitorro.

How Important Is It Really to Wash Your Fruits and Veggies?
Here’s what can happen if you don’t wash your produce, according to experts.

When it comes to fruits and vegetables, we all know the drill: rinse, scrub, and dry before you eat. Washing your produce might feel unnecessary, especially when you’re eager to bite into that sun-ripened peach, or to slice up fresh bell peppers. But consider that food safety experts see it as a crucial step.
Here’s everything to know about washing your produce, and when it’s particularly important.

Pedro Almodóvar Through the Eyes of Julianne Moore, Tilda Swinton and 7 Other Stars
In advance of a gala celebration of the director’s career, we asked nine actresses about working with the auteur. They painted a picture of a precise artist.

“I want to be an Almodóvar girl/Like Maura, Victoria Abril,” the singer-songwriter Joaquín Sabina crooned in 1992. The song was an ode to Pedro Almodóvar, who even then was a master of passionate cinematic liaisons, often starring defiant women in love.
Over 45 years, numerous actresses have shared that desire to be part of his boldly saturated universe, where despair and elation, sex and violence, tenderness and intense hatred often occupy the same frame. “It’s a club that I really relish being in,” as Julianne Moore put it in an interview.

Is our obsession with dieting finally over?
After years of restrictive diets, even Gwyneth Paltrow is bringing back bread, pasta and cheese. Has the wellness bubble finally burst – or are we still too afraid to eat normally?

We’re all really weird about food. From the mainstreaming of appetite suppressants like Ozempic, to the health anxieties swirling around everything from seed oils to processed bread, it doesn’t seem like we derive much pleasure from eating any more.
Evidence of this is everywhere online. As India Espy-Jones wrote in her article ‘Are you actually as unhealthy as you think?’, social media has convinced us that our health is in a constant state of emergency. We’re led to believe that Khloe Kardashian’s new protein popcorn will save us from a protein deficiency we didn’t know we had. Diet and fitness influencers who eat only raw meat, milk and butter promise the same thing: these “ancestral” foods are the key to hormonal balance, gut health and a longer, better life. Eating is no longer a source of enjoyment, culture or community: it’s a biohacking project, a moral imperative, an underhanded method for optimising the body for productivity, longevity and ‘thinness’.

Why are so many young people looking for God?
Growing numbers of us are attending church, buying the Bible, and turning to prayer – we investigate what’s behind this new wave of faith

More and more young people are embarking on spiritual journeys. While back in 2019, just 22 per cent of 18 to 24-year-olds in the UK said they believed in God, by early 2025 that number had more than doubled to 45 per cent. More young adults are attending church, curious about what Christianity might have to offer them, with new research commissioned by the Bible Society revealing that since 2018 the number of young men attending church has increased from 4 per cent to 21 per cent, while young women’s attendance has risen from 3 per cent to 12 per cent. Dr Rob Barward-Symmons, co-author of the report, believes that “with much of the population struggling with mental health, loneliness and a loss of meaning in life, church appears to be offering an answer.”

Rock & Roll Hall of Fame 2025 inductees include Cyndi Lauper, Outkast, and the White Stripes
Soundgarden, Chubby Checker, Joe Cocker, and more also made the cut.

The Rock & Roll Hall of Fame Foundation is pulling back the curtain on its 2025 inductees — a powerhouse lineup of trailblazing, genre-defying artists who have shaped the soundtrack of our lives.
The inductees include pop icon Cyndi Lauper, hip-hop duo Outkast, garage rockers the White Stripes, and more.
This year’s announcement was fittingly delivered live Sunday night by Ryan Seacrest on the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame episode of American Idol, setting the stage for a celebration of one of music’s highest honors.

7 Best State Parks in California—Including a ‘Mini Yosemite’ and an Ancient Redwood Forest
The Golden State may be famous for its national parks, but its state park system is worthy of praise, too.

California is a land of striking geographic contrasts—towering mountains rise alongside lush forests, while deserts brush up against fertile agricultural valleys. You can carve through snow on glacier-covered peaks one day, and the next, find yourself in a desert where the highest recorded temperatures scorch the land.
With all that natural beauty, it’s no wonder that California has nine national parks—more than any other state—and around 280 state park units. Its national parks often steal the spotlight, but the Golden State’s state parks are hidden gems that offer sights, experiences, and landscapes that rival their national counterparts.
These are the seven best state parks in California.
