Fresh from performing at the Oscars, with a new album dropping and her role on The White Lotus causing buzz, Lisa stopped by Jimmy Kimmel’s place to talk about how fabulous everything is for her right now. And also to work probably a little too much dress for the Kimmel studio.
Not that we’re complaining. We’ve been noting lately that talk show ensembles for ladystars have gotten increasingly elaborate and formal in the last year or so. There used to be a clear dividing line separating red carpet looks from talk show looks, but now everyone’s showing up ready to pose. She looks gorgeous, and the dress is legitimately kind of interesting, but ultimately, the details are lost in this setting. Kimmel has one of the darkest talk show sets on television, but this dress probably would have struggled to be noticed under the best TV lighting.
