Oscars 2025: EMILIA PÉREZ Star Zoe Saldaña in Saint Laurent

As we noted in our writeup for Cosmopolitan last night, we were absolutely thrilled when we caught sight of Emilia Perez star Zoe Saldana on the red carpet at the Academy Awards. Yes, it was because of what she was wearing. No, it wasn’t because we liked it. QUITE the opposite:

We HATE it. In fact, it’s the worst Oscar winner dress we’ve seen in years. Why were we thrilled? Because the major awards red carpets have gotten so safe and professional thanks to all of those hardworking stylists that we sometimes find ourselves wishing for more disasters. We wouldn’t quite classify this as a complete mistake of a frock, but the proportions are extremely weird and the styling choices – like the sheer gloves and that choker – don’t actually elevate the dress. We’ll say this: she completely negated our prediction that she’d wear something sleek and black. This is an awful dress, but we kind of love it because it caught us so off guard – and that’s hard to do with jaded old bitches such as we.
