On her childhood: “I’m proud of the work I’ve done. The work that everyone can see, but especially the work that no one can imagine. I have the natural impulse to want to be understood by everyone, to be friends with everyone, to please everyone. It’s something that is tiring, impossible, that has weakened me a lot in the past. There is no version of that story that can end well. The truth is that you can’t be understood and loved by the whole world. I’m still working on that, I have to make peace with it.”

On her love for vintage clothes: “I’ve always been a ‘retro girl at heart’: already at 15, I would go shopping in second-hand stores. Mimi and I are having fun experimenting with shapes and looks from the 1950s and 1960s, from the golden age of Hollywood, which is my favourite”.

On whether she ever thought about not being chosen for the role in WICKED: “I’ve been auditioning since I was little, I learned to accept ‘no’ and understand that it’s part of life. I understood that if something is meant for us, it can’t pass us by without us realising it. We’re not the ones who are wrong, it’s simply a role, a situation, that requires something that we just can’t give”.
