The hardest-working polycule in showbiz is determined to continue to promote their film until there are no more column skirts nondescript coats or oversized brown suits available anywhere.
In other words, Chiwetel Ejiofor, Renee Zellweger and Leo Woodhall are once again at a Bridget Jones: Mad About the Boy premiere, this time in LA.
It’s fine. Stale and retro, as per the usual with her. We can’t wait for these pale sages and sea foams to cycle back off the trend scale. The origami bust looks a bit overwrought to us and we’d really have liked a darker pair of shoes. An insipid color like this calls for some dramatic tone-on-tone styling to make it stand out. If the shoes and the ring were in, say a darker green or teal, it would do a lot to elevate the look. She doesn’t strike us as someone who loves doing the red carpet, so we’re not sure why she does these extremely old school, hostess-y, “it’s a pleasure to be here”-style poses. Granted, we don’t love see sullen grouches on the red carpet either.
It’s a gorgeous suit and he ruined our opening joke because for once, he’s not swimming in it. He needs a much thicker knot on that tie. He also needs a different tie because that one is boring.
It’s a beautiful coat, but we just realized he’s been using outerwear the same way ladystars have used opera coats all last year: as a way to make a boring outfit look more stylish. It mostly works, but he’s not exactly standing out, except that he looks like he just ran into his castmates and has to leave at any second.
