While all the other Oscar nominees were out hitting every red carpet available to them this week, A Real Pain and Best Supporting Actor Oscar nominee Kieran Culkin stopped by the Tonight Show to do a little campaigning in his signature unfussy style.

Actually, we’re going to amend that. His style is low key and unpretentious (or gives the appearance of such), but calling it “unfussy” would seem to be a little bit inaccurate. That hair and those bracelets are choices, after all. He didn’t just roll out of bed or just stop by after dropping the kids off at school, but he’s very good at giving that impression. Which isn’t to suggest that there’s something dishonest about how he looks. If anything, he’s probably one of the more sincere of the Oscar frontrunners. There’s no crime in being a little studied in your pursuit of unpretentiousness. The outfit’s cute, but we don’t like the kicks at all.
