Renee Zellweger joined co-stars Leo Woodhall and Chiwetel Ejiofor in wearing some impressively dreary and unphotogenic day wear for the Bridget Jones: Mad About the Boy London photo call. Hugh Grant evidently told them to piss off.
We’re in this really weird moment with celebrity promotional style where people are stepping out in outfits that are clearly of high quality and very expensive, but the styles are so dull and generic that they look like basic department store pieces. We’re talking about the guys here. Chiwetel’s coat and shoes are obviously very nice, but they’re so plain and unphotogenic that it almost wasn’t worth it to wear them. Similarly, we can tell that Leo’s sporting some fine pieces as well, but style-wise, he could have picked them up at Target. As for Renee, we’ll give her credit for putting the work in, but those pants are HORRIFYING. Between this pair and Katy Perry’s, this has been a big week for leather hellpants.
