Palm Springs International Film Awards: WICKED Star Ariana Grande in Louis Vuitton

Like her Wicked co-star Cynthia Erivo, Ariana Grande appears to have left the Glinda cosplay behind her for now. Instead, if we’re going by her look at the Palm Springs International Film Festival Awards, she appears to be lining up her next big role: Audrey Hepburn.

Granted, she doesn’t actually have the role, but in the wake of her great reviews for Wicked, there’s been considerable buzz about letting her take it over since the planned biopic with Rooney Mara fell through. We don’t have articulated thoughts about her suitability for the role (not yet, anyway; give us time) but it sure looks like your girl is manifesting it through her style choices. Having said all that, we hate this dress, which looks like a combination slipcover for a large piece of furniture/floatation device. The silhouette’s fine, but we don’t like that pale green color, nor are we loving the bridesmaid shoes. Basically, she looks like a minty car seat.
