Congratulations to Jennifer Lopez’s publicist, who secured the star a Maverick Award at the IndieWire Honors for her work in Unstoppable, which no one else saw. She grimly accepted this honor and posed with it like she was holding up a newspaper to prove she was still alive.
That little drag queen trick of highlighting the tip of the nose is getting out of hand. Half of Hollywood is showing up on red carpets with Mary Lou Who’s face. Anyway, this is a little silly, given that she’s coming off one of the worst personal and professional years of her life, but we don’t begrudge anyone getting a little pick-me-up award. Besides, it’s smart of the organizers. If you give J Lo an award, she’s likely to show up in something jaw-dropping, get her picture taken a million times, and promote the actual event itself. Everybody wins! Trophies all around! As for style, which is the ostensible reason for this post, we have no real critiques. This is such an easy sort of look for her to wear that we suspect she goes to bed looking like this.
