It occurs to us that perhaps we have let down the younger generation of ladystars. We spent years talking about what constitutes a poor choice for a talk show outfit (crop tops and micro-minis topping that particular list) and for a good while, it seemed like our efforts paid off as stylists and stars got a little smarter about what makes for a good sitting-down ensemble. But lately, so many ladystars are back making the same mistakes that we feel we’re going to have to start getting harsh again. Rachel Zegler stopped by Late Night with Seth Meyers to talk about everything that’s going on with her at the moment (Broadway and a cartoon), but she opted for a downright terrible look for the occasion.
First off, why are you even wearing a crop top in November in New York? The skirt is pretty enough, but she doesn’t look all that comfortable in the top. The way she’s gripping that opposite arm rest is a dead giveaway. But even if she looked comfy and confident, we still wouldn’t like it. The top just feels like an afterthought and it does nothing for her. The hair’s also looking a bit severe.
