Emilia Perez star Zoe Saldana gets very businesslike for her Seth Colbert appearance and we’re feeling a bit of a love-hate reaction to it.
A straight-up menswear-inspired look on a woman can come off a little stale and gimmicky, especially if the look being referenced is basically The Man in the Gray Flannel Suit, but we really like the way this pops for her when she’s sitting down. When she’s not sitting down, however…
The effect is decidedly different. We’re all for slouchy, but this one is slouchy and it seems to be pulling all over. We don’t necessarily think a woman’s suit needs to define her waist, hips or bust, but the cut on this one just looks like she’s wearing some guy’s suit instead of an outfit that actually fits her.
