Two of the most charming actors we can think of combined their abilities like a celebrity Avengers team and put on a mega-charm offensive. In other words, The Wild Robot stars Pedro Pascal and Lupita Nyong’o hit the red carpet at the London premiere looking pretty cute.
We have thoughts, however. We’ll let them charm the hell out of you first so you can get really mad at us for being bitches about it.
Adorable. Now.
We really love this for him. We think his red carpet style tends to skew a little too much toward the casual side and we’re proponents of the sometimes-controversial opinion that as men hit their middle age, casual styles become harder and harder to pull off without looking sloppy. We like the seventies vibe of the suit, although the horizontal seam in the jacket is not something we love. The color’s also a little too muted for our tastes and we think he might be more comfortable a little more buttoned up. One final bit of criticism: we really don’t love the current trend of pairing wide-legged pants with such dainty footwear. Those would look fine with conventional dress pants but a fuller cut of pant calls for a shoe with a heftier silhouette. We realize we’ve ripped this to shreds, but we really do like the direction for him.
This is so puzzling to us. Check the model shot below. Why would she choose to wear the scarf this way? We’re on the record as not loving scarves as a formal accessory all that much, but they work better with suits and the silver sequins add the look a huge dollop of glamour. Why would you wear it like a blanket? Her style instincts are usually so much better than this. The bag’s a little twee, but we get the impression she feels like this plain white suit needed more personality. We don’t agree.
