Steffi, we truly thought you were better than this. We always figured the star of Joker: Folie à Deux would be unable to resist the lure of theme-dressing for the publicity tour. After all, if you’re Lady Gaga and you’re playing Harley Quinn, how can you not engage in a little bit of cosplay? But this, girl?
This is some Spirit Halloween shit. There are so many ways to interpret a harlequin theme through fashion and not have it come off literal or cliched. None of them are in evidence here. It’s not the cosplay that bothers us. It’s the fact that it’s cosplay that would barely rate a second look at Comic Con. Tsk. You’re better than a stale cliche, Gaga.
