We feel like we’re always yelling at Amy Adams for her style choices, so we figure we owe her a solid when she basically gets it right. We say “basically,” because this look poses an interesting problem for us. It represents a lot of the suggestions we’ve made for her, but we don’t actually love it.
We… mildly like it. A lot of her gown choices have a somewhat timid quality to them; not just because she tends to prefer modest styles, but because she’ll do things like pull that gorgeous hair back into a tight bun instead of letting flow free, like God intended. The shape of the dress is great and fits her pretty well. We don’t like fabric flowers and we think this one is placed in an awkward spot, but because of the washed-out color (which we don’t love), this one doesn’t bug as much. The bust is well-fitted, but that horizontal seam looks weird to us. Love the hair and the jewelry is well-chosen. If we could make one change, we’d wave our gay little wands and turn that dress color into a jewel tone. Husband Darren Le Gallo looks okay, but he should wear a tie.
