Because the folks in charge of the Venice Film Festival quite rudely fail to take into account the three-day weekend imposed on hardworking American bloggers such as we, we’ve got a lot of catching up to do on all of the stars and events that happened while we were cruelly forced to relax because of American labor unions. Let’s get into this!
Adrien Brody (in Dior) and Georgina Chapman (in Marchesa) at the WOLFS Premiere
He looks great. Love the brooch. She’s very Marchesa, in every sense of the word, but the gown is inoffensively pretty and the color looks great on her.
Amy Ryan in Alexis Mabille at the WOLFS Premiere
It wouldn’t look so ragingly 1980s in style if it had been done in a color that also didn’t reek of that decade. This would have been so dramatic in black or navy, for instance. Having said that, she still looks great.
Brad Pitt in Louis Vuitton at the WOLFS Premiere
It’s a gorgeous suit. We don’t think he’s the guy to be working those flares. Square-toed shoes are horrors.
Eva Green in Armani Privé at the BABYGIRL Premiere
It looks wildly overdesigned. The sheer bust and ruffled hem are both terrible. Those are the wrong shoes for that hem length. Lady, what happened here?
Felicity Jones in Prada at the WOLFS Premiere
Can’t wait to see it when it’s finished.
Jude Law in Brioni at THE ORDER Premiere
We almost said that he’s the only man who can get away with a scarf tied over a scoop neckline, but it turns out? NO man can.
Jurnee Smollett in Louis Vuitton at THE ORDER Premiere
This is dramatically pretty, but we don’t love the purple and blue combo. Pick one, preferably the purple.
Nicholas Hoult in Ralph Lauren at THE ORDER Premiere
Gorgeous. Should’ve shaved.
Raffey Cassidy in Chanel Couture at the WOLFS Premiere
In theory, were all for wearing veils on the red carpet, but this just lends the whole look a funereal air. The skirt’s interesting but we don’t love the bodice design.
Stacy Martin in Louis Vuitton at the WOLFS Premiere
It’s a gorgeous gown but the non-color washes her out completely.
Taylor Russell in Alaïa at THE ROOM NEXT DOOR Premiere
The skirt is great. There have been a lot of dropped waists lately, haven’t there? The top is awful.
Tye Sheridan in Prada at THE ORDER Premiere
Very cute. We wouldn’t mind seeing more purple tuxes, now that we think of it.
