The stars came out to support Zoe Kravitz’s inaugural directorial effort Blink Twice in LA and the looks were surprisingly chic, possibly taking their cues from the power couple at the top of this endeavor.
Adria Arjona in Versace
We’re not in love with this. The various cutouts and panels in the bodice tend to obscure and distort her natural shape, which kind of goes against the whole point of such a sexy dress.
Alia Shawkat
The dress is meh. The styling is non-existent. A pedi, a pendant and some bangles would’ve done a lot here.
Alicia Keys in arm Rio
It’s…okay. We’d like it more as a dress and with a less clumsy pair of straps. Black tights and black pumps look to heavy with it.
Christian Slater in Zegna
The fit’s a little off, but that’s a sweet suit in a great color.
Geena Davis
Cute! A little dated maybe, but very cute. We hate the matchy pumps, though. A longer sleeve would have helped with the proportions.
Laura Dern in Stella McCartney
The textile looks a little chintzy and we don’t think the red pumps do much for it, but this is a pretty great dressy-casual look for her.
Naomi Ackie in Ferragamo
The top half is giving Meghan Markle on her wedding day, but the bottom half is terrible. That fabric looks like a slip and the feather trim looks cheap and tacky.
Olivia Wilde in The Row
It’s okay, but it’s just hanging off her. Slightly shorter straps would be good. The pendant’s nice but that footwear choice is baffling.
Reese Witherspoon
Simple, straightforward, clean and well-suited to her. We have no issue with any of this. She looks cute.
Simon Rex
We don’t mind if a linen suit gets wrinkled. It’s an expectation built into the design. But we DO mind when one is poorly fitted and badly styled. He needs a belt, a better shirt, summer-appropriate footwear and at least two inches hacked off the bottom of those pants.
