Scarlett Johansson and Channing Tatum hit the red carpet at the premiere of their movie Fly Me to the Moon and we are thrilled to report that they both made weird style choices! It’s our bread and butter, you see. If celebrities all decided to be chic and elegant at the same time, we’d go out of business.
What interestingly unphotogenic outfits!

Along with fuller cuts, pinstripes are trending again among the suit set, but this one has such an odd shape to it. It’s not quite single or double-breasted. It’s like a 1.5-breasted jacket. Personally, we think this style of suit is going to make any guy look like an old-timey gangster, so it would never be our first recommendation for a red carpet. He’s suited to the style, however. He just needs a white shirt, a tie, and a killer pair of shoes to finish the look. This is not a style you can half-ass.

If you asked us to come up with the most insipid print imaginable for a red carpet dress, we doubt we could do better than “all-beige gingham.” This is a textile too boring to make napkins out of, let alone something for a world premiere. Would we like it better in some other gingham? Maybe, but not likely. It’s a little too twee and casual for formalwear, in our opinion. The finishing on the bottom of that top is terrible and the beading looks dumb.
