Sarah Michelle Gellar and Freddie Prinze Jr. did something we rarely get to see them do: hit the red carpet for their movie premiere. The co-stars of The Girl in the Pool served up “Mom and Dad on date night” for the LA premiere.

They’re doing that all-too-typical straight couple thing where she’s dressed to the nines and he’s dressed to coach Little League. You know it’s true for at least some of you. Come on, now. We have eyes. We might have given him a pass if literally any part of this outfit was stylish or fit him well. We could even give him some sort of dispensation if he was dressed so generically as to fade into the background. But instead, it all looks a little clownish and unflattering. A smaller jacket, a shirt with a collar, and MUCH simpler kicks would do a lot to correct his mess. Her dress is entirely not to our tastes, but she’s clearly loving it and it does look cute on her. There’s no way we can get bitchy about it given what he’s wearing.
