When Ayo Edebiri first hit the scene after The Bear became super-buzzy, we felt that a lot of her style choices were too bland, too understyled, and somewhat lacking as a reflection of her personality. We are happy to report that she has course-corrected spectacularly and that we love to see it, but you should definitely prepare yourself for the scrolldown. You see, we’ve always felt she needed a lot more quirky in her look. Brace yourself for an onslaught of it.

There. See? That wasn’t so bad, was it? We prepared you sufficiently and instead of recoiling, you’re considering how well this all suits her and how cute she looks. In theory, anyway. This is a lot, of course. Most people shouldn’t attempt to work these proportions or this combination of prints and textiles. But it’s colorfully cute and feels very of-the-minute modern, which is exactly how we would describe her. It just works. And her hair looks amazing.
