As the headline says, Cynthia Nixon was seen on location in New York shooting the next season of And Just Like That… along with new series co-star Rosie O’Donnell.

Honestly, we think Rosie makes a pretty good addition to the show because she’s so quintessentially New York, she’s gay, and she’s a contemporary of the lead characters. Unlike some of the other new additions to the cast (Che, Carrie’s podcasting friends and downstairs neighbor), she strikes us a natural fit, even if it seems wholly unlikely that she’ll ever dress up as much as the rest of the cast. We suppose the natural suggestion is that she’s Miranda’s new love interest, but we never bought Che in that role and we’re not inclined to think Ro will make any more sense. It’s like they keep pairing Miranda up with people Cynthia Nixon might date. Miranda would be way more into power lesbians in killer suits than the jeans-and-t-shirts arty types. They should get Sarah Paulson on for a three-episode arc as an opposing counsel where she breaks Miranda’s heart.
