We get that it might be frustrating for fans of Bridgerton to see a season split into two like the current one, but as non-Bridgerton-watching red carpet critics, we’re thrilled that Netflix is spending the money and even more thrilled that these two haven’t slacked off a bit on the looks-serving. The London premiere of the second half of season 3 of Bridgerton was an unlikely spectacular event with a huge cast turnout, but for now, we’re going to focus on the king and queen of the Regency Prom.

They have yet to disappoint. They understand what the fans want to see from both of them and they pretty much nail it each time. For the audience, she’s the aspirational figure and he’s the boyfriend. Her looks are always romantic in the extreme and his are modern, stylish, with a soft masculinity to them. A pop star and a bride.

We suppose we could note that they’re each being fairly literal about their roles, but they’re serving some pretty great looks to boot. There’s a lot going on with this suit and we can’t even say we’re loving the majority of it, but it has a modern romanticism to it that’s just perfect for him. Taken on its own merits, away from the branding exercise of this moment, it could use some serious editing. When even the shoes are overdesigned, you know your boy is serving a lot.

This is probably the closest she’s come to engaging in full-on Bridgerton cosplay, but we have to admit we gasped when we saw it. Personally, we’d have suggested ditching the veil for taking the metaphor a little too far, but the gown looks stunning on her. Her hair and makeup are gorgeous. And she even found a way to keep that ever-present Artists4Ceasefire pin.
