The stars of Lessons in Chemistry decided to get all cute about it at the series For Your Consideration event.
Dammit. This is going to have to be a short post, kittens. We are simply unable to conjure up the bitchery required in order to nitpick these looks to death, in the manner you’ve come to expect from us. They all look really good, dammit.
LEWIS PULLMAN
Honestly? No notes – not even one to complain about how overwhelmingly brown it all is. It suits him very well. He has a clear love of American western style elements and this is a nice way to pull them together without going over the top.
AJA NAOMI KING
She looks great in this. The shoes aren’t wrong for it, but we think a gold sandal would’ve looked better. Aside from that minor quibble, it’s perfectly styled.
BRIE LARSON IN PRADA
Also a pretty great look! Also not loving the shoes! You’ll have to forgive us on this one, because if you show us any style of Mary Jane, we’re likely to hate it on sight. They’re the turtleneck of footwear and no, we will not be explaining ourselves further.
ABOUT THE SERIES:
Set in the early 1950s, “Lessons in Chemistry” follows Elizabeth Zott (played by Larson), whose dream of being a scientist is put on hold in a patriarchal society. When Elizabeth finds herself fired from her lab, she accepts a job as a host on a TV cooking show, and sets out to teach a nation of overlooked housewives — and the men who are suddenly listening — a lot more than recipes.
