We’re of two minds regarding Orphan Black Echoes, which is (to restate a joke we’ve made a thousand times before) a good thing, considering there are two of us. Even so, it’ll take a lot to get us to consider anyone else heading up this franchise after Tatiana Maslany’s jaw-dropping and Emmy-winning work in the original series. On the other hand, it’s an absolute crime that Krysten Ritter isn’t kicking ass more often on our screens and she does feel like a very good fit for this world. Also, it’s nice to see her back on her “badass Snow White” style. We once said she was born to wear red and black for the rest of her life because they look so good on her and we fear she may have taken our advice to heart.

The dress? Great! Not perhaps the trendiest or freshest of designs, but it looks fantastic on her. The trench is also kind of great and also looks great on her. The problem is that they really shouldn’t be worn together. It just doesn’t look right and besides, it’s an odd choice for a June red carpet in this hemisphere. A little cropped moto might have been cute here, but really, she doesn’t need a jacket at all.
