The cast of The Bear came out to celebrate the fact that many of us will be dealing with the heatwave by bingeing all of season three over the next few days. They’re all doing that “our show became really successful since we last had a premiere” things with their style. In other words, collective game has been stepped up.
Ayo Edebiri in Loewe
We felt like her early steps onto red carpets were timid and style-less, so we hope we make some sort of sense when we say that we don’t like this dress at all but we love it for her. The shape is too tricky and goofy and the print looks like shabby chic-style bed linens. But as we’ve noted a time or two before, she takes really well to fashion that’s quirky and has a distinct point of view. In other words, we don’t like the design but she’s served well by it and she looks good in it.
Ebon Moss-Bachrach in Prada
It’s fine, in the sense that it’s both okay and of clearly high quality. A little dull and unphotogenic, though. We want to gently suggest that he use more sunscreen.
Jeremy Allen White in Calvin Klein
This is pretty great. We hate the shoes – like, a lot – but they actually had a little visual zip to an otherwise standard summer suit. The black tie seems like a lazy choice.
Liza Colón-Zayas
We don’t love the applique on the neckline and shoulders, nor do we love the lace hem, but the design is pretty and photogenic and she’s well-served by it. We’d have rec’d a more delicate pair of sandals.
