Cannes Film Festival 2024: KINDS OF KINDNESS Premiere Red Carpet Rundown

We had to give Kinds of Kindness star Emma Stone her own spotlight post because she wore the best frock she’s worn in ages, but it’s long past time to check in on the rest of the looks at the Cannes Film Festival premiere. Take a moment to warn your eyes. They’re about to be a bit overwhelmed. It’s Cannes, after all.

Did we not tell you to warn your eyes? If you’re temporarily blinded, don’t come crying to us. This is… well, it’s clearly insane, is what it is. It’s not chic, it’s not elegant, it’s not stylish. It’s insane and she’s exactly the right person to wear the shit out of it.

This is gorgeous. We’d like to further articulate our thoughts, but that’s the extent of them. It’s just a beautiful gown that suits her perfectly.

It feels wrong to critique a van Herpen dress using the usual criteria, but as much as we love this and think it’s on the right wearer, we don’t love the shape of the awms and it seems like the shoes are too conventional a choice.

The dress is great, the necklace is wrong for it.

Spectacular.

Very chic and understated. That’s the best use of a sheer overlay we’ve seen in a long time.

Sir, why are you wearing some other man’s tuxedo?

The dress looks like an overdesigned mess, but the paleness of it does a lot to play down how much is going on and it suits her really well. The styling helps a lot. Love the headband.

Perpetually moisturized and thriving.
