As per the usual, we’re trying to feature the winners and the awards track frontrunners at the Golden Globes, but we’ve run into a slight problem when it comes to Best Actress in a Comedy or Musical winner Emma Stone, for her amazing work in Poor Things. You see…

We’re really not feeling that frock. She clearly is, and if we’re being honest, we can’t really claim the ability to articulate any issues with it. The sparkle’s nice and embroidery is beautiful. On the other hand, the backing color is drab and the embroidery can look a little heavy, in an upholstery sort of way. We might have liked it if the backing color were black or a more vivid metallic, but we remain unconvinced that embroidery and sparkles work well together in such muted colors. Anyway, we don’t have real critiques. We’re just going on vibes. You make the final call:
