Princess Cathy broke out the winter whites and also broke slightly from tradition at this year’s “Together at Christmas” carol service at Westminster Abbey.
We won’t say she’s never gone to church in a sweater and pants, but it’s definitely feeling like a very curated form of relatability. We tend to think the question of royals sending messages through their clothing is wildly overstated for the most part, but this does feel like a bit of a “no dirt on me” sort of flex. It’s a fine look, especially since she doesn’t overdo neutrals, but we don’t love that high waistband with the buttons, nor do we think the sweater coordinates that well with it. Plus the whites don’t quite match.
