We figure plenty of you have caught May December on Netflix by now and are dying to discuss this extremely discussable film (which we will be discussing in the next podcast), hence this post. On the other hand, we have to also ask:
Is it us or is this one dreary-as-hell frock? Granted, she’s not exactly selling the look in these shots, but as a design, it all feels heavy, dark and overwrought; exactly the opposite of what a red carpet look should be. The lace design is too busy and unphotogenic, the color does nothing for her, and all of those horizontal lines are unflattering. The sleeves look unfinished. The underskirt is kind of dazzling, but the rest of the design works to obscure it. The more we look at this, the more we hate it.
