It’s the Hollywood Reporter’s Beauty Dinner! It’s an honor just to be invited! The following celebrity gals took the occasion of their invite to the Beauty Dinner to served up their own takes on beauty. Let’s be judgy bitches about it!
Ashley Park in Michael Kors Collection
We guess it’s a “more than the sum of its parts” thing because we don’t love any of the individual aspects, but we don’t mind them all together. Does that make any sense? Like the dress is okay, but the gold sandals do a lot for it.
Charlize Theron in Dior
From the sheer blouse to the leather skirt to the anklets, it just feels like the whole outfit’s trying to do too much. The individual pieces are strong, but you can’t tell because they’re all fighting with each other for your attention.
Janelle Monáe in Greta Constantine
Who can argue with any of that? Not us. The lady looks super fine.
Jurnee Smollett in Versace
It’s got a little bit of a dance/figure skating costume to it, but the shape is kind of fun. The shoes are awful with it.
Kathryn Newton in Michael Kors Collection
Feels a little too much like Stevie Nicks cosplay, although there are worse inspirations to draw from. We guess our issue here is that none of this feels like it suits her all that well.
Kelly Rowland in Karoline Vitto
Ouch. We respect the commitment, but that looks too painful and not worth the trouble. Love the turban, though.
