We are suddenly struck by how much Barbiecore we missed out on this summer, ever since the SAG AFTRA strike was called. Just imagine how many pink gowns and dresses we all would have had to judge by now. Ah, well. We probably would have been sick of all the pink by late July. But Kelly Rowland kept the trend alive with this Georges Hobeika number. We tend to find his designs skew toward the tacky end of the style scale, but that doesn’t necessarily make them a bad choice for a red carpet situation. The line dividing tacky and photogenic is pretty slim.

She is definitely working the hell out of it, but we don’t love the skirt design. The backing color is drab, the embellishments look too heavy, and we aren’t feeling the hem length.
