And now, a smattering of stars at the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Edition party, serving up an array of eye-popping looks, which is to be expected, all things considered.
Kim Petras and Martha Stewart
We’ll always maintain that discovering weed was the best thing to ever happen to Martha. Granted, she swears she doesn’t partake, but then again, she also swears she hasn’t had work done. Anyway, here’s your completely random celebrity pairing of the week.
Martha Stewart in Jenny Packham
The lifestyle maven (who more or less forced the coining of the term “lifestyle maven”) celebrated her record-breaking cover for Sports Illustrated’s celebrated Swimsuit Edition by dialing up the glam for the party. Princess Cathy wore a version of this gown to the No Time to Die premiere in 2021, but we like that Martha opted to ditch the cape. This is fun and she looks great, although we don’t like the gather at the waist.
Kim Petras in Zimmermann
You can see Kim’s historic SI spread here. The print is cute. Not really our bag, but cute in a semi-camp sort of way. The dress is perfect for her and the styling looks great. We really don’t like that yellow trim, however.
Machine Gun Kelly in Vivienne Westwood
He said he was there to support his lady Megan Fox on her Sports Illustrated debut, so we guess they’re either back together or he’s working to get back in her good graces? We admit we don’t entirely keep up on the goss. Anyway, the suit is cute and as people who don’t generally like work boots with suits, we kind of love these just for being so insanely disproportionate if not downright wrong.
Megan Fox in LaQuan Smith
Well. This all appears to be in order. To complain that this is tacky is to COMPLETELY miss the point of it. Instead, marvel at the design. Having said that, our one critique is that it’s clearly too tight up top.
